Development and Leadership Institute (DLI)
The GHOP is a seven years Rivers State Government Educational Initiative funded by the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency, designed to widen the horizon of the Rivers Child by creating access for talented but impoverished rural and urban slum beneficiaries to obtain quality education in topmost secondary schools across Nigeria. The Programme also seeks to create access to quality tertiary education in and outside Nigeria for best performing beneficiaries.
The selection criteria are based on merit and all academically gifted Rivers indigenes in public primary schools are qualified to apply. in its first year of operation a total of one hundred and twenty three (123) children from the twenty three (23) Local Government Areas of Rivers State were successful in the selection process and were enrolled into various high brow secondary schools across Nigeria.
The Programme is jointly implemented by Development and Leadership Institute (DLI) and Kate Bee Foundation (KBF)
